Ignite a Passion for Discovery.

We are a group of scientists and engineers who are passionate about inspiring young minds.

Play with hands-on kits!

Every child is born a scientist. They try new things, build for fun, and explore the world around them. Our kits provide the hard-to-find supplies to help kids learn more about nature. We believe that every child should be given opportunities to learn, which is why we built a non-profit around this mission.

A Perfect Gift

Each kit contains everything you need to get jump started. No more hunting around the home or store.

Designed by Scientists

All kits are designed by volunteer scientists in the US.

Aligned to Standards

We follow national educational curriculums in the US for 8-11 year olds.

Help Kids in Need

All proceeds go directly to helping kids without resources (learn more).

Our hands-on kits have all the materials you need.

About

Our goal is to inspire students to feel ownership over their education, share ideas with one another, and experience the excitement of scientific discovery. We've conducted many camps for children coming from underprivelaged backgrounds. These have included:

  • Visits to technology companies including Google, to meet with top scientists and engineers.
  • Workshops held at local schools teaching through hands-on science activities
  • Afterschool science camps
  • Opportunities to try new experiments and design brand new kits

The official non-profit name for Explorabox is SEED. SEED (Science and Engineering Education Directive), is a non-profit organization with the mission to provide hands-on science education to all children. Our goal is to inspire students to feel ownership over their education, share ideas with one another, and experience the excitement of scientific discovery. Primary to achieving these goals is the development of a series of exciting and interactive ‘ExploraBox’ learning modules that integrate fundamental science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) lessons with fun, accessible activities. These modules, along with a complementary web-based forum, aim to instill an appreciation for the sciences and mathematics among today’s youth. SEED’s central philosophy is that introducing core principles at an early age, primarily through activity-based learning offered in a guided, individualized, and non-competitive learning environment, has a profound impact on academic performance and lifetime achievement.
